The Federalist Society in Brief
The Michigan State University Federalist Society is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to bringing conservative and libertarian ideas into legal education. We sponsor debates, speeches and symposia to advance our principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.

To join both the national and MSU Federalist Society chapters, you will need to complete two easy steps.

First, visit the National Federalist Society website to become an official "card carrying" member.

Second, send an email to us at federalistspartan@msulawfedsoc.com with your name, phone number, email address, and year in law school to become an official MSU member.
